Chocolate Vanilla Latte

you know those days when you just want to face plant into a plate of chocolate chip cookies covered in chocolate icing while eating fudge? yeah…me neither. but if you did know what i was talking about this would be for those days. stress at work? crazy stuff at home? just in general need of some good ol’ fat and sugar? say helloooo to your new bff: chocolate vanilla latte.

topped with whipped cream.

because apparently that is my life now. just in case you didn’t get enough sugar during the holidays to put you into a diabetic coma, i’m here to help. you’re welcome? i’m sorry? a combination of both? plus you get caffeine, so that will negate the sugar crash. right? right.

truth be told, i’m more of a tea gal. coffee usually smells sooooo much better than it tastes but i am willing to make an exception for this latte. and when you taste it you will see why. it’s all the things a cuppa should be: smooth, creamy, and chocolatey. nomnomnom.

i usually add some lots of stevia to my coffee (along with more cream than coffee) and i definitely did that for this latte, but i didn’t include the amount in the recipe because everyone likes their coffee a little different and who am i to tell you how sweet to make your coffee? i couldn’t handle that kind of responsibility. not without a couple of cups of these lattes in my system and frankly, i’m not sure i could handle that. but to be fair i did drink this while eating a chocolate chocolate-chip popover. yeah. it was one of those chocolate days.
